This morning Polona & I strolled around central Ljubljana. We browsed the open market where local farmers and artists proudly displayed their admirable products. There was a courtesy car (golf cart) driving around so we hopped on for a quick tour around before we made our way to the train station. Halfway through the cruise there was an elderly lady that came aboard and sat up front with the driver. She talked his ear off as we sat at the rear listening to the ‘70’s Slovenian music played on the speaker; our cart weaving through the morning scenes of downtown Ljubljana’s alleys and narrow streets. It was an enjoyable moment worthy of our chuckles.
We boarded our train in time but it was late leaving the station. Upon arrival in Divača we were short on time to walk to our destination of Škocjanske Jame. So from the side of the road we stuck out our thumbs with a smile and within two rides from friendly drivers we found ourselves arriving with time to spare.
