It took a long time for us to find our accommodations. The search on AirBnB was easy, but when we arrived in Rovinj, the tourist map I bought had at least one error on it. The street our address was on had been mixed up with one of the perpendicular streets adjacent to ours. Navigating ourselves there was making complete sense, but the names on the streets just didn’t line up. Asking around to the locals in the area with my broken Croatian, they all seemed to have a different answer. Finally it was the clerk in the grocery store across the street that was able to point out the building to us and we realized the error on the map. It’s the frustrating situations like this that make traveling the world even more fun.
It was great to finally arrive. Our place was perfect - a small apartment with kitchenette, balcony, and beautiful view. The next time you’re traveling, give AirBnB a try!
