One of the nicest items I’ve ever received as a gift is the piano tuning wrench given to me by Kenneth, Frances’s grandfather. He tuned pianos professionally as a career and thought that I might like to have his retired tuning wrench.
I haven’t tuned any pianos for a few years but the opportunity came the next day when I was back in London and stopped to visit my friend Nikki. It just so happened that she had recently bought an old piano and moved it in. It was in definite need of tuning on a few keys and my newly acquired tool was handy in my bag!
I fixed the really sour notes in a matter of minutes and then we were able to play the piano without cringing at the awful keys!
Thank you so much, Kenneth!
