The World is OK

It’s Sunday morning here in Vancouver, Canada. The clouds are low and the wind is gusting, but the world is OK. My good friend Philippe has a large canvas mounted on his wall; a perpetual painting project that he has started; his so-called evolutive painting or “CERP” (Cognitive-Emotional-Reflective-Painting).  Presently the mostly abstract piece has a big checkmark in the centre, confirming The World is OK. And it really is.

Friday, the 20th of August marked five years since my first day at Hurdal Verk Folkehøgskole. That was a big leap, embarking on that adventure, which turned out to be ten incredible months; some of the best and most important in my life. On August 20th, 2010 I took another big leap and quit my job of the past 3.5 years. It is time for change in my life. I’m moving forward and will never look back. Last week I sold my car, this week I quit my job, and by the middle of September I’ll be out of Whistler, going to visit my family for a short while, then once again crossing the Atlantic. This time with just a one-way ticket. I’m going to have fun, to learn, to explore, to grow, to achieve & conquer!

So I pondered the idea of starting a blog to document my thoughts and experiences. I’ll be traveling minimally but I will have my laptop computer with me. I hope that this blog can be something people will enjoy and comment on. I won’t always be writing in English, but am leaving it open to the public, for everyone who has interest.

It’s time for me to get ready to go out for the day. I’m walking over to Scott’s place to have brunch with the Cummings, some wonderful family friends!
