Tonight I made my way to Picadilly Circus. I hung around the fountain for a little while watching the people and traffic. Moving on I walked up Regent Street but turned back when it started to rain. From the Circus I wandered down Coventry Street and when I reached Leicester Square a poster outside the Empire Cinema caught my eye - Back To The Future - back in theatres… I checked the showtimes and tonight’s show started in 10 minutes. Back To The Future has always been one of my favourite movies - a childhood classic; I know it verbatim. I couldn’t pass up this opportunity to see such a great film on the big screen. I purchased one of the three remaining seats and headed into the theatre. The background music playing before the show was Earth Angel (Will You Be Mine) by Marvin Berry and the Starlighters, from the soundtrack - a befitting way to set the mood. After all the seats were filled, the lights dimmed so we could «enjoy» our 20 minutes of advertisements, then it darkened for the feature presentation. That’s when my permagrin set in. To experience this movie in the cinema, on the big screen in a digital presentation, with clearer picture and better sound than I’ve ever seen or heard it, and share the energy of the audience was such an enjoyable experience it nearly brought a tear to my eye, it really did!
